Thursday, Aug. 8, 6-8 PM Jeff Sanchez returns to delight at CAM Café. Jeff has been playing music in Wilmington since 2006, when he joined local rock n' roll band The Clams. He also played guitar and sang with Upstarts and Rogues and helped produce their CD of original music. He has since produced a CD for the Clams, and is now producing a CD for Soul R Fusion. Dance Theatre of DREAMS: Stealing Fire Sunday, August 11, 2 PM Dance Theatre of DREAMS in collaboration with CAM presents "Stealing Fire", an interactive dance experience with original choreography inspired by CAM's current teamLab exhibition Story of the Time when Gods were Everywhere, interpreting each of the installation's elemental symbols through creative motion. The program will include the introduction of the company's members, discussion of the choreographic process including the use of improvisation and symbolism, followed by a performer/audience interactive performance. Q & A with the ten dancers, choreographer, and audience will conclude the performance. Program proceeds benefit DREAMS and CAM. |
