Jeff Landry's first 90 days: 'I don't move slow'

BY JESSICA WILLIAMS | Capitol News Bureau Editor

First 90 days: Gov. Jeff Landry has had a frenetic first 90 days in office. Supporters hail his approach, but critics compare Landry - unflatteringly - to Huey Long, who ruled the state with a heavy hand a century ago, Tyler Bridges reports.

Criminal justice laws: Business owners Jay Lapeyre and Pres Kabacoff worked to convince the Legislature to pass criminal justice shifts in 2017 that Landry and his allies recently reversed. The men recently reflected on the reversal, Stephanie Riegel reports.

Atchafalaya Basin bridge: Two years ago, the Legislature agreed to double fines and install speeding cameras on the Atchafalaya Basin bridge, in a bid to reduce crashes. Now, state lawmakers could change course, Meghan Friedmann reports.
