| rantnrave:// I'm calling for the mock summary execution of anyone involved in the TV EVERYWHERE ecosystem. I have 3 APPLE TV devices in my LA home. I have to set each one up. Download each app all over again and then authenticate each TVE app again. This is such a poor experience. What do I say to this? GFY... I have been trying to activate HBO GO on my bedroom APPLE TV for 30 minutes. "Invalid activation code. Please try again." This is the new "PC LOAD LETTER" of the modern age. Failed 5 times. Never worked. That was after I had to login into my TIME WARNER SPECTRUM account first. What do I say to this? GFY... Only human beings could f*** this up so much. If they were WESTWORLD "hosts" everything would work fine. While minutes at TV are plummeting, the product and authentication ecosystem is embarrassing, abysmal, and downright sucks. What do I say to this? GFY. I'm going to NETFLIX. TV shows and movies are the only things that keep me from thinking about THE DEMOGORGON and his next 8 years. And now I can't even do that. Make TV user experiences great again, for once... I'm so annoyed I want to run down the street like a mental patient in an open back hospital gown screaming "Go f*** yourself TV Everywhere!" I'd be calmer waiting in a TSA line, then at baggage claim, then a late UBER passing me by on the app map while standing in the rain. I swear these executives get the casts to come and perform live in their homes. Because there is no way they use this s***. If SANTA brought me TVE... That is all... We all have users in our lives. The timing of bad users is so obvious. I don't mind being used sometimes, but I like a little grace... To listen to DONALD TRUMP, AMERICA is a horrible place. Everything is a disaster and he is the only savior. Schmucks... I wouldn't let CHRIS CHRISTIE work at PAPAYA KING. I love Papaya King... Who are the people that run the major news organizations? How do they see their jobs? How do they balance commerce and public good? They should be vetted by public hearings. Half kidding... OK, deep breath. Think of the important things and good people... A big shout out and thank you to ELLEN DEGENERES, JEFF KLEEMAN and the fine folks at A VERY GOOD PRODUCTION. Let's just say that in addition to their jobs they do nice things for people who need something to smile about. They do this without looking for glory and just because they want to make another human being feel good. Good people... And then there are horrible people... Happy Birthday to LANCE REISS, ROSS HUTKOFF, and ED COOPERMAN. | | - Jason Hirschhorn, curator |
