| | rantnrave:// There's a big difference between being self-aware, open to criticism and pro-active in fixing issues vs. getting caught. The post-actions may be the same, but the circumstances and motivations are not. What happened at UBER is a shame for a myriad of reasons. But I'm thinking about this: During my time at VIACOM, I used to say that our problems (the barbarians) were outside the company. The competition, changing audience habits, new technologies and the like. But time and again, internal strife, problems the company brought on itself, and the inability to challenge the status quo, hurt us. You look at what Uber has built globally from product to jobs and it's really remarkable. And may continue to be. What's more remarkable?
