Japanese Skewered Chicken (Yakitori)

By attosa

finished Yakitori on platterYakitori is a longtime favourite street food in Japan. It was one of the first things I had when I first visited Japan as a kid, and by far the best. Nothing really beats having it on the streets of Japan, but my family's recipe comes close. You can make this on an outside grill, as well as indoors. You'll love it either way...promise!

Mini Handprint Canvas

By lalala...

A child's white handprint on black paper.I made this mini handprint canvas for my son's "auntie" for Christmas last year. I painted the entire canvas with various shades of purple paint. Once the paint was dry I painted my son's hand with white paint and made the handprint. After his handprint had dried, I added some glitter paint to the handprint.
