Japanese Skewered Chicken (Yakitori)
By attosa
Yakitori is a longtime favourite street food in Japan. It was one of the first things I had when I first visited Japan as a kid, and by far the best. Nothing really beats having it on the streets of Japan, but my family's recipe comes close. You can make this on an outside grill, as well as indoors. You'll love it either way...promise!
Make Cookies on an Electric Griddle
By Michawn
I'm recycling this tip, but thought it was so good I had to submit it! Take your store bought or homemade (yummy) cookie dough and "bake" it on a electric griddle. Especially good when you don't want to heat up the kitchen on a hot day or just want a few cookies.

This is a recipe that I first made with an old gentleman who'd lived most of his life in Hawaii. Growing up during the Second World War left me with a very romantic idea of anything to do with the islands.
