TOPICS DISCUSSED: The key topics discussed in the meeting were: Interactive TV, shoppable TV, AI and its use in identifying products and generating creative, consumer engagement and adoption of shoppable features, the role of mobile devices versus TV screens in the shoppable experience, the potential for Walmart and other retailers to enter the shoppable TV space, and ideas for future TVOT Connect events and sessions.
We enjoyed a live, interactive TVOT CONNECT session featuring NicoleJones, Chief Media Commercial Lead, KANTAR; JimMattson, Head of Brand Partnerships, The Take; ScottSolter, CRO of Adinteractive, and PeterHamilton, Head of Ad Innovation at Roku, as they revealed how TV is transforming into a seamless shopping experience.
Televisionation: Friday Fireside, the #1 television industry Webcast, features Rick Howe, The iTV Doctor, in conversation with prominent figures from the advanced-TV/video industry. The Friday Fireside welcomes our friend Pablo Cella, newly named Division President and General Manager for Amdocs Studios’ Business Division. Pablo’s group is the cutting edge for a business transformation of how Amdocs approaches customer needs: more of “what you need,” rather than “what we do.” Amdocs has been known for being thorough and proficient in many areas that impact the television business. But they were never known for being “nimble.” That has changed. Watch and learn.
