Wednesday, May 24th 5:20pm Lobby, Lounge & Back Lawn
If you’re attending TVOT SF 2023 (May 24th and 25th in San Francisco; register here; view the full agenda here), be sure to attend the Cocktail Party, which is sponsored by Gusto TV.
Some of the food highlights of the party will include:
Fresh Oysters from Swan Oyster Depot, a veritable San Francisco institution (founded in 1903) and a favorite of James Beard, Julia Child and Anthony Bourdain (the latter is said to have made a point of eating there every time he visited the City). Other notables who’ve been sighted eating there over the years include Bing Crosby, Margaret Thatcher, Francis Ford Coppola, Claudette Colbert and Francis Ford Coppola.
Belgian Liege Waffles (on a stick!) from Milk & Waffles. The company uses rare, imported ingredients, such as Belgian Pearl Sugar, to maintain the authenticity of its waffles, and prides itself on the detailed process it uses for producing its waffle dough, which is always made fresh. Its waffles come with delicious toppings, such as fresh berries, whipped cream and even fruity pebbles!
Charcuterie from Burke & Black. The company uses only seasonal and quality ingredients, pairing them with its house-made jams and compotes. It was founded in 2019 by Nicole Burke and Monique Black, who met while working together at the Michelin-starred restaurant Quince in San Francisco. Also, don't miss Josh Ellingson, a San Francisco-based TV sculptor, who will be bringing one of his pepper's ghost displays!
