“This session will bring together leaders from the world’s largest local, national and international television news organizations to examine how the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the ways viewers are consuming and using news—not least, by leading to an increase in viewing on digital platforms. Panelists will debate whether these changes are likely to be permanent and, if so, whether they can enable the TV news business—which in recent years has seen a significant acceleration of the “graying” of its audience—to future-proof.
