Podcast - click here Last fall, video software provider, Synamedia, and program guide, metadata management and data broadcasting company, Triveni Digital, announced a partnership to facilitate broadcastersâ, content providersâ and service providersâ transition to the new ATSC 3.0 standardâa transition that will require that ATSC 3.0 solutions support simultaneous broadcasts of both ATSC 3.0 and ATSC 1.0 signals. According to the companies, Triveniâs Digital Broadcast Chain will provide architectural support on a unified platform for a coherent workflow across both services, while Synamediaâs compression technology and other solutions will allow broadcasters to repack existing ATSC 1.0 and free up the bandwidth needed to launch new ATSC 3.0 services. The companies also revealed that they had jointly secured a deployment with a âmajor US television production company.â
