Sean Payton made it official Friday. Trevor Siemian will be the starting quarterback Sunday at noon when the Saints host the Atlanta Falcons in the Caesars Superdome. It'll be Siemian's first start since 2019 when he was with the New York Jets. Luke Johnson tells you about how Siemian is handling this week. Siemian also has a confession to make about his last start in the Dome, five years ago when he was with the Broncos and they won on a controversial play at the end. Taysom Hill also returns to the Saints' offense this week after missing the last two games in the concussion protocol. That should give the Saints' offense a boost. But there are some players who have been ruled out and others who are listed as "questionable." See who they are in Friday's practice report. Also on Friday, the Saints honored two players from the 2006 draft class. Jahri Evans and Roman Harper were inducted into the team's Hall of Fame. Columnist Jeff Duncan tells you all about what made them both deserving of the honor. Meanwhile, Marco Garcia was the recipient of the Joe Gemelli "Fleur de lis" Award at the ceremony. That award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the Saints. You may not know Garcia, but he handled Saints' radio broadcasting duties for the Spanish-speaking fans. Also, Amie Just answers some of your questions in her weekly mailbag. Oh, and don't forget to check out this week's episode of "Dattitude" with Jim Derry. As always, we appreciate your support and we value your passion as readers. Until next time, Rod Walker |
