Like you, I want to be successful. So I read all the latest business books, magazine articles, and blogs that I can.
And like you, thanks to them, I end up knowing a lot about the usual suspects: Apple, Tesla, Starbucks, Facebook, Amazon…
Great. So now I know the same stuff about these titans as tens of thousands of other readers. This will come in really handy, the next time I decide to become a billionaire CEO.
Whereas maybe, just maybe, there’s more actual insight one can use today, right now, at a much smaller scale, closer to home.
That’s what we all thought when we read this lovely article about a local shoe shine company that operates out of a couple of airports. Though they offer an old school service, they’ve amassed quite a large cult following.
Nothing fancy. Just good, strong human values, consistently expressed, at a scale much more easy to understand for most people, than the aforementioned titans.
Something to think about.
CELEBRATE WINS
Anniversaries are great opportunities to celebrate and reinforce culture. The opportunity is to remind people about the beliefs, mindsets, and behaviors that got you where you are, and at the same time, spell out what will deliver success over the coming year(s). Below is a photo of the third-anniversary celebration this week at Miami Cancer Institute. Miami’s premier cancer treatment center.
