Hi,
I don't know about you, but I'm so glad that 2020 is finally coming to a close. It was a real dumpster fire of a year!
Thankfully, in spite of all the challenges, there were also many bright spots. Including some AMAZING artwork created by our FASO members that reminds us of our unshakeable humanity, even in our darkest hours.
Here's one of my favorites by BoldBrush Master Artist David Kassan. It's a portrait of Hanna Davidson Pankowsky, Holocaust survivor and author.

The story of Hanna and her family's escape to America from Nazi occupied Poland and Stalinist Russia is a testament to the triumph of love and perseverance in the face of unspeakable evil. It reminds us of our own ability to love and persevere in spite of our fears.
David's wonderful portrait also reminds us of our responsibility as artists to inspire others to follow the example of Hanna and thousands of other Holocaust survivors have set for us. They are quiet heroes who never gave into despair and defeated their enemies by choosing to live lives full of love, hope, and wonder.
There is no greater joy in this world than inspiring others and lifting them up. And no better time to make that impact than right now, when the world needs inspiration more than ever.
