Meet Margie, our new Annual Giving Manager!
| | | | | Dear John, My name is Margie, I am the new Annual Giving Manager for Franciscan Media, and I am very glad to be here! (That's me, eating a crepe in Harajuku, Tokyo.) For a long time I was working two jobs to support myself: one at a soup kitchen and the other a TV station. Obviously they were very different but I found myself enjoying different aspects of both. At the soup kitchen I was seeing the daily impact of helping others—how being able to rest for a moment and have a meal can have a substantial impact on someone's day. At the TV station I saw a lot of news, both good and bad, but it was encouraging to see how uplifted the employees would become at the mention of good news in our community, such as a charity event or someone getting justice for a wrong done to them. At Franciscan Media, I feel like I'm seeing the best of both worlds. I've only been here for three weeks and I'm already seeing how our ministry is affecting our subscribers and how much it truly feeds their faith. It's especially exciting right now as we are 3/4 of the way to fulfilling our End of Summer Drive goals.
