Watch this short video to learn about why we awarded Meghana and her team from Farmington, Michigan, with an Eco-Grant last year. They were concerned about the health and environmental impact of the polystyrene trays used by their cafeteria. The students collaborated closely with friends from a nearby school to convince their administrations to switch to a more sustainable alternative. They gathered more than 54,000 signatures on a petition to show community support for their efforts! To help them further reduce their schools' environmental impact, we awarded the students with a $500 Eco-Grant that they're now using to add a composting program in their cafeteria! We need your help to fund more incredible student projects like Meghana's and the teachers who help them change the world!
Last year, we awarded $15,000+ in Eco-Grants and stipends to students and teachers. Help us reach our goal of $30,000!
