The Case Against Nuclear Power: Is It Really Scalable?

Derek Abbott will be presenting a seminar on some of the practical limiting factors for nuclear power, including site availability and acceptability, nuclear waste disposal issues, and the risks of accidents and proliferation. He will also discuss a variety of resource limitations, such as the availability of the relatively scarce metals used in the construction of the reactor vessel and core.

Living Building Conversations #9 - High Performance Buildings

Engaging Communities In The Transition To Water Sensitive Cities

Water Sensitive SA and the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities will be running a training session on their latest research findings on societal innovation and behaviour change. Presentations will provide information on current levels of water literacy across different socio-demographic groups and geographic regions in Australia, and guidance on strategies to engage with community members on issues of water sensitivity.
