Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of today's top headlines. Dr. Jones? Eric “Doc” Jones is staking his bid to join the Orleans Parish School Board on his long track record in education. But some of Jones' claims about his background appear to be inaccurate and other records link him to past controversies. Does he really have a doctorate from Harvard? Was he really a school principal? Marie Fazio has the story. Into the wild: Whooping cranes once roamed Louisiana in droves, but their numbers began to dwindle as humans converted their habitat into farmland and hunted the birds. As part of recent efforts to increase Louisiana's populations, four cranes were released back into the wild last month. Josie Abugov has more from their journey. Yet to be tapped: U.S. Rep. Garret Graves may not have been selected to head the transportation department by President-elect Donald Trump, but now his name is being tossed around as the next possible leader of FEMA.
