Good afternoon, friends. Lots happening today. Here are some of the headlines we've been working on at NOLA.com. Fish lure: In Barataria Bay, large cranes are being used to drop pieces of concrete into the water to create a new reef. The hope is that this “Cajun coral,” as it’s been dubbed, will become a hot spot for fish and marine life, Josie Abugov reports. DA, judge tangle: New Orleans DA Jason Williams and Magistrate Judge Juana Lombard are in a bit of a back-and-forth over what Williams says is Lombard's "hostile, irate, erratic behavior" toward his prosecutors. John Simerman and Gabby Killett have the details. That’s Russell Crowe, the singer: You probably know Russell Crowe for big-screen turns in such movies as “L.A. Confidential” and “Gladiator.” But it’s not a movie he’s bringing to New Orleans next week. He’s got a band, music writer Keith Spera tell us. The clock’s ticking: It was only a couple years ago that Trevor Penning was supposed to be the future of the Saints’ offensive line. So far, well, things haven't worked out. Columnist Jeff Duncan says today the clock is ticking, but it’s too soon to give up on Penning. Like the Lunch Line? Sign up here. Want to subscribe to The Times-Picayune? Here's the link.
