Post October 7: A new security architecture for the Middle East?
This discussion aims to analyse the complex dynamics surrounding the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. Hamas' attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 has significantly affected the lives of Israelis and Palestinians and has also sparked a geopolitical dynamic with unpredictable consequences for the entire region and beyond. The panel discussion aims to assess the stability of the current regional order, the role of actors such as Iran and its proxies such as Hezbollah and the Houthis, and their impact on global security. It will also examine how this conflict influences foreign policy developments and geopolitical alliances, with a particular focus on the role of Iran.
