| INVITATION Shared Micro-Mobility Solutions in Modern Urban Transportation Planning: Post-Pandemic Outlook for Micro-Mobility Industries Modern-day micro-mobility solutions (bikes and scooters) are increasingly becoming an integral part of transportation ecosystems in major metropolitan areas. Motorized scooters are mainly considered as a transit solution for cities with rapid urbanization and cities with pervasive congestion on roads. In the United States, 46 percent of congestion on roads are caused by trips less than 3 miles. Micro-mobility technologies like motorized scooters and bikes are considered to be a vital solution to reduce short car trips on the roads. Now, with the global spread of COVID19 infection, it is widely believed that the micro-mobility solutions, such as shared bikes and motorized scooters, will emerge even stronger in post-pandemic urban transportation development. As a public transportation alternative, shared micro-mobility technologies are affordable and easy to navigate through congested areas with fewer interactions with other road participants. Join our infrastructure conference on Shared Micro-Mobility Solutions in Modern Urban Transportation Planning: Post-Pandemic Outlook for Micro-Mobility Industries, and learn about shared micro-mobility technologies in modern transportation planning; roles and functions of regulators, service providers, and riders; and gain an outlook on single-occupant vehicles in post-pandemic period. When? Thursday, July 23, at 11:30 a.m. EST Featuring |
