INVITATION: EUROPEAN MONEY WEEK 2022

Financial literacy lies at the heart of a resilient and inclusive society, yet only about half of Europeans have the right skills to make sound decisions about money. Levels of knowledge needed for ultimately achieving financial well-being are particularly low among women, youngsters, elderly people, low-income groups, and other more vulnerable parts of society.

This European Money Week, we’re putting financial skills front and center in Brussels and around Europe. We’re going to examine how to build financial awareness and what type of skillset you need to navigate your personal finances. The campaign will also explore the link between financial competences, cybersecurity, capital markets and sustainability.

Join us and help supercharge Europe’s financial skills!

LAUNCH EVENT: FINANCIAL SKILLS IN A TIME OF CRISIS
Tuesday 22 March | 3:00 PM | ONLINE

ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR

In the past years, Covid-19 has highlighted the gaps in financial knowledge and resilience, especially among the most vulnerable parts of society. More recently, the war in Ukraine has sent shockwaves across Europe and, among other concerns, has again brought into focus the importance of financial skills during a time of crisis.

Join us on March 22 to hear our speakers tackle three key questions on financial literacy and explore how educators, policymakers and businesses can support people navigating their finances in uncertain times. Our event will also explore what role financial skills play in people's lives and how boosting them can help address challenges different groups face in our society, from identifying cyber scams, to supporting refugees settling in a new country.
