SPEAKERS’ PROFILE Mark Ommanney Director, Business Development – The Tilney Group Mark has spent over 35 years in the Financial Services Industry. His career started in 1975 as a Financial Consultant, followed by Branch Manager and ultimately Sales Director with the international financial services company, Sun Life of Canada. In 1999, with the gradual closure of Sun Life of Canada in the UK, he left to develop a technology company, IBNet, which he subsequently floated on the UK AIM market. In 2003 he returned to Financial Services as Chief Executive of the Life Insurance Association. Following its merger with the Society of Financial Advisers, this became The Personal Finance Society, the Professional Body for Financial Advisers in the UK, where he remained as CEO. In 2008 Mark was approached to join Tilney in order to develop their relationship with professional IFA firms who were looking to outsource their investment management. His main focus now is working with offshore IFA firms that look after the ex-pat community. Lewis Cohen – Chartered FCSI Director, Investment Management – The Tilney Group Lewis is Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Lewis specialises in managing the investment portfolios of ex-pats, as well as the discretionary portfolios of private clients; charities; trusts and pension funds. Lewis joined Tilney in 2011 and has spent the last 6 years heading up Tilney’s international investment management service. |
