karibu adventures is Canada’s newest and coolest nature and people-positive adventure travel company. We are on a mission: to share the beauty of the world’s most spectacular wild places and hidden gems and help keep them that way through responsible and inclusive travel. We believe travel can be done in a way that’s good for you and the planet – by curating tasteful and transformative trips that dig below the surface to bring you immersive, authentic experiences and real connections. We celebrate what makes life truly awesome. |

We are not tourists Or at least we try not to be. Each one of our small group tours is personally curated and vetted, and we limit the size and frequency of our trips. We prefer to travel at the best time to be in a particular destination. Our motto is travel not trample. |

We are the first group to be invited onto the ancestral territory of the Ḵwiḵwa̱sut̓inux̱w in the Great Bear Rainforest to see, first-hand, efforts to revitalize their ancient culture and language. On the volcano-carved island of Dominica, we take part in a spiritual cleanse by an Indigenous Kalinago shaman and forage for soursop and pepper cherries. |

And in the Alta Valsesia, a remote part of the Italian Alps and UNESCO Geopark, we hike through lush hanging valleys and alpine meadows and visit the original wood and stone-hewn mountain homes and shepherds’ huts that have been in our family for centuries. |

It’s easy to stay in a big multinational hotel chain. We don’t. And where we go, they don’t have them anyway. We stay in charming, locally-owned boutique hotels, backcountry lodges and eco-resorts that reflect the culture and ethos of the places we visit. As a proud Canadian company, we also prioritize working and partnering with Indigenous businesses, entrepreneurs and leaders, as well as local communities in the spirit of true reconciliation and economic inclusion. |

Whether it is hiking in the Italian Alps or the Dominican rainforest, sea kayaking off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, or canoeing along quartz-lined lakes and old-growth pine forests in the Temagami Region of Northern Ontario, every one of our trips is anchored in active exploration. Whether you are an avid outdoors person or a weekend walker, as long as you are moderately active you can do our trips. What you put in is, is what you get out, and our goal is to get you out there. |

A boutique offering - without the gold-plated pricing Yes, travel is expensive, but we strongly believe that the more people can experience the world’s beauty (nature and human), the better chance we have of saving it. There’s a fine art to curating spectacular + affordable trips, and we are experts. We offer small group trips of six to 12 travellers. We have scheduled departures for those looking to join a group of like-minded, interesting travellers, as well as private trips for groups of friends, colleagues or families. Our trips currently run from six to eight days. Youth 12+ welcome. |
