Thousands of Android devices connected to the Internet are being exploited by a network worm because a feature of the mobile operating system, known as Android Debug Bridge, has been enabled by default by manufacturers.

Many Australians wish they could switch back to their previous Internet service rather than having to use the country's national broadband network, the NBN, according to newly published research from a comparison website.

Meanwhile, telecommunications consumer interest group ACCAN says new complaints rules for consumers switching to the NBN, will give the regulator better tools to ensure improvements in complaint handling by the telco industry.

And a user of the Whirlpool broadband forum has identified what he thinks is a possible reason for the regular very short dropouts that HFC NBN connections suffer, and says this may become a much bigger problem in the future.
