Res Artis will act as a global information portal via this dedicated section of resources on our website targeted at upskilling arts residencies to support artists in need. Topics will include Creatives at Risk, COVID-19, Digital Learning, Sustainability and Online Residencies.
TransArtists will continue to share calls for artists and cultural professionals, support mobility, international cooperation and freedom of expression through toolkits, articles and artist resources.
On the Move, together with its members, will continue in this context and beyond to inform artists and cultural professionals in need of relocation or support from affected contexts, particularly through funding and access to (en)forced mobility related information.
Artists at Risk can provide direct support to creatives seeking safety, matching them with a host organisation.
PEN America’s Artists at Risk Connection (ARC) is a global network of more than 800 organizations with many resources and ways to help persecuted artists, assist at-risk artists in navigating the ecosystem of support and securing direct assistance, such as emergency funding and relocation opportunities. Additionally, ARC’s Safety Guide for Artists is a critical resource that shares strategies that artists can use to prepare for and navigate different kinds of risk, including physical, financial, and digital threats. We have been heartened to see the quick response from the arts and cultural sector who are busy adapting their programming and fundraising efforts at this challenging time to offer support to creatives in need. Once our platforms are established in the coming weeks, we will be calling out to the sector to seek your input and feedback... stay tuned for more details soon!
