First meeting of the Working Group on Intercultural Integration

The Working Group on Intercultural Integration (GT-ADI-INT) held its first meeting online on 29-30 September, in accordance with the current health guidelines.

Systemic Discrimination â New Thematic Page Addresses How to Identify and Prevent

Systemic discrimination hides in structures, policies and procedures in organisations. This includes local authorities, who are encouraged to take action to identify and prevent any systemic discrimination in their structures and beyond.

Launch of the Anti-rumour Guide in the Educational field

Which better place than a school to promote critical thinking in young people and educate them on how to dismantle rumours and stereotypes that hinder peaceful and productive coexistence in diverse society?
The Anti-rumour Guide in the Educational field is available in English and Spanish. A similar guide has been produced also in Italian by the Italian network of Intercultural Cities.

Webinar on âPreventing the potential discriminatory effects of the use of artificial intelligence in local servicesâ

The Intercultural Cities programme and ePaÅstwo Foundation invited ICC member cities to take part in a webinar about the challenges Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Decision-making present for local authorities, in particular in relation to anti-discrimination, inclusion, and the fight against hate speech.

Melitopol University Releases the Results of its First International Survey on Intercultural Competence

As part of the project “Introducing and Engaging Diversity Globally“, supported with a inter-city grant from the Intercultural Cities Programme, the Centre for Sociological Studies of the University of Melitopol implemented the first wave of the bilingual survey on intercultural competence.

The Intercultural Cities Programme is delighted to announce that Guro (South Korea) has joined the Council of Europe’s Intercultural Cities Programme in August, becoming its 141st member, the second in South Korea after Ansan joined last January.
