Letter from the Editor As we look for unique gifts for people we care for, you can’t drive past a digital billboard or change the channel on your TV without seeing an advertisement to have something cosmetic done to your body. It could be getting rid of droopy eyelids, or freezing off the love handles, or a facial with dermabrasion to make you look young again. This week our intern, Arjay Mendoza from the University of Colorado College of Pharmacy, has a great article review in our Laterpay feature, on the use of duodenal mucosal resurfacing (DMR) to improve liver fats, lower A1C and possibly reverse the need for insulin in type 2 patients. ***************************** We can make a difference! ***************************** Dave Joffe Editor-in-chief |

| | About LaterPay: You will notice that some of our articles are now marked with a small credit card icon. This means you will be asked to pay a small fee to access the full article text (the cost is $0.39 per article, and you will be charged only after you have reached $5.00 in article views). The costs of producing a newsletter like Diabetes in Control have been increasing, which is why we are asking our readers to help support our ability to continue to bring you quality information about diabetes through charging a minimal price to read certain articles. Thank you for helping to support Diabetes in Control. |
