A Message From the Editor

Good morning. It finally happened! The Indian Bar Council has issued long-awaited rules for liberalization of the nation's legal market! In other news, we tell you how Kirkland led the group of Big Law firms that struck deals with the White House to coordinate their actions. And in more Kirkland news, firm chair Jon Bliss was at a luncheon in Riyadh attended by Trump and a Who's Who of corporate VIPs. Meanwhile, it seems that despite claims to the contrary, Big Law is hesitating on some pro bono work in the wake of heightened U.S. government scrutiny. Finally, when a bejewelled Kim Kardashian appeared in court in Paris to testify trial against accused thieves charged with robbing her of millions in jewelry during a 2016 heist, she was in the company of former star Cooley partner Michael Rhodes, as well as Herbert Smith Freehills partner Jonathan Mattout and of counsel Léonor Hennerick.
