Canada has set an aggressive target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 45 per cent by 2030. A quarter of Canada’s energy consumption is used to power our homes. This generates almost 20 per cent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions in addition to other direct and indirect emissions from commuting, food, travel, recreation, and the goods and services we buy. Achieving our national goal is going to be a huge challenge, but we can all do our part to reduce carbon emissions and fight climate change. |
