| Hey, hey! So, last week we moved into our new house, and it was all kinds of chaos. The movers unloaded a truck full of stuff, we spent two nights in the new place, then headed for California—which is my kind of moving. ;) During our five-day stay in Los Angeles, I recorded an interview for the Minimalists (which will be dropping soon, so keep a lookout for that), we rented a car to drive through the mountains of Malibu, and then I treated my lady to a surprise concert of her favorite boy band. We ate good food, slept in, and saw a few friends and beautiful sites. I returned to a smattering of responsibilities and obligations and somehow had this strange peace about the whole thing. I love our new house and this life we get to create. This morning, I woke up to the sound of birds singing and sprinklers sprinkling before dawn. As I watched sun rays reflect off dew drops while sipping a hot coffee on my back patio, I was struck by how perfect a moment can be. I wish you the same peace and presence this weekend and coming week. And in case you missed it, here are a few other things that happened lately: A new podcast on how money isn’t real dropped this week and got a good response, especially to the newsletter that accompanied it. I shared some thoughts on Instagram on how we can create just about anything if we want it badly enough. This is a challenging concept for me, but I’m learning a lot as I practice it. If you missed last week’s episode on how being an “idiot” is the best way to do creative work, don’t forget that trickster makes the world. My most recently published book, Real Artists Don’t Starve, is only $12 on Amazon right now and still seems to resonate with creators of all kinds. I did an interview recently on content creation and what kind of work feels most meaningful to me these days.
