|  | | I read Golf Digest as a kid. Now I'm on the cover |
Having grown up reading Golf Digest, it’s still surreal to see myself on the cover. I had a great time hanging and shooting this latest one with the Digest crew at Southern Highlands Golf Club in Vegas, even if the weather failed to cooperate (My apologies to Dan Rapaport; you’ll get that chipping lesson one day, bud). It was a special experience working with Peter Yang, one of the coolest portrait photographers in the world, and he made me look more badass than I could have ever imagined.
|  | It’s crazy how much has changed since I first had the opportunity to be on the cover of Digest last year. Kat and I got engaged in the Bahamas in December, and we just finished moving into a new house in Vegas. I’ve been traveling so much on a crazy schedule for the last year that it’s been nice to get some time at home. I’m looking forward to my next tournament, which is in my hometown of Los Angeles at Riviera Country Club.
I also hope you enjoy my instruction tips in this issue, which are about my two ways to approach the stock shots. Some amateurs might think they can’t learn anything from the pros—“they play a different game” is what I often hear—but I truly believe the simple way I approach golf can benefit players of any level. It’s amazing to think there might be a kid out there reading the magazine and being inspired to improve, just as I was all those years ago.
