I Hope Nothing Screw This Up!
| Hi John! I'm so excited about what we're doing tomorrow but I'm also afraid something will screw it up. I'm going to tell you about our adventure in a second. But first, some highlights! |

This one took me a while to get but when I did I laughed so hard. I walked into a Starbucks the other day and I said, "I'd like your mildest roast please!" The barista responded, "You have average ears." |

| | "Kids Table" I drew this to display what a lot of my LGBTQIA+ friends experience. They're told they're included. But what that means is they're allowed in the vicinity, but not allowed equal status or opportunity. So I drew Jesus sitting at the same table. One person was disturbed that the sheep are eating turkey. I call it cartoonic license. |

"Do Not Fear But Be Very Afraid" I posted this video this week about how I was told so many times that the Bible says, "Do not fear!" 365 times... enough times for one every day of the year. At the same time, though, I was taught about the many things I needed to be afraid of... demons, punishment, disappointing God, Hell, and on and on. It created this weird kind of relationship where I was trapped in a needy codependency. Click below to watch the short video. |

"This Reminds Me Of Us" This is a new watercolor that you are the first to see. I'm going to share it tonight. It's about 8"x10" on paper. Have you ever been in the wilderness, and felt the love of all things? Where there is no conflict. No problem. Only love. Beautiful moments in nature can remind us of romance. Click on the link below if you want to get it before someone else does. |

I HOPE NOTHING SCREWS THIS UP |

So my wife Lisa and I, our son Jesse and our daughter Casile and her fiancé Evan, are driving down to the States (we're about an hour from the border of Maine) to see our oldest child, Joshua. We're picking him up in Portland and then going to an AirBnB near there. We haven't seen Josh in 2 years... before COVID and because of COVID. The States just opened its border to Canadians. So we're taking advantage of it. But so many things can happen in such a short amount of time. And we're afraid we might be heading into another lockdown here in Canada soon. More than anything right now we want to all be together again as a family. We all love each other so much, and we're like best friends. I can't wait! Fingers crossed! |

Thank you so much my dear friends for keeping in touch. I try to answer every response to my emails. I'm going on a kind of vacation but I will still try my best to respond. Much love, David |
