Good Morning, Do! Today is Saturday, March 21 ___________________________________________________ Today, March 21 in 1925 The state of Tennessee enacted the Butler Act. It was a law that made it a crime for a teacher in any state- supported public school to teach any theory that was in contradiction to the Bible's account of man's creation. ______________________________________________________ Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten. --- B. The other is to let her have it. ___________________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Tony Spell, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Baton Rouge pastor defies ban of large gatherings As the potentially lethal coronavirus spreads across the country, state governments are taking unprecedented steps to try and protect those who are most vulnerable to complications from the illness such as the state of Louisiana that banned gatherings of 50 or more people. The state is so serious about this order, in fact, that they showed up at a local church that had defied the ban and held services in person anyway. Tony Spell, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, said no dictator law could keep people from worshipping God, according to the local news. The virus, we believe, is politically motivated, Spell told WAFB. We hold our religious rights dear and we are going to assemble no matter what someone says. Spell said his church, which normally has more than 1,000 attendees on Sunday across five locations, will be distributing anointed handkerchiefs to provide members with healing virtues. DeaWebby's Tech Support Pits From: Vicky Re: W10 awfully slow Dear Webby, My dear, but not very bright, hubby put W10 onto our computer. Now browsing is unbearably s l o w. Is that due to W10, or because he screwed up something else? Vicky Dear Vicky That is because you have a W7 machine, and Microsoft/DELL/Acer/HP is trying to force you to buy a new computer. You might be able to lessen the problem if you get more RAM installed. You probably have 4 GB of RAM, which is plenty for W7, but not for W10. Tell him HE can use THAT machine, with W10, and he can buy you a used W7 machine, or a brand new W10 machine. Those have twice as much RAM, or even more, and are about as fast as your W7 machine was, before he sabotaged it. Have FUN! DearWebby

Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument. _____________________________________________ One day a man called the church office and said, "Can I speak to the head hog at the trough?" The secretary thought she heard what he said, but to be sure, she asked, "I'm sorry, who?" The man said, "Can I speak to the head hog at the trough?" She said, "Well, if you mean the pastor, then you may refer to him as 'Pastor,' or 'Brother,' but you may certainly not refer to him as the 'head hog at the trough'!" The man on the phone said, "Well, I was planning to donate ten thousand dollars to the church's building fund . . ." The secretary quickly responded, "Hang on, I think the old pig just waddled in!" ____________________________________________ A cleric found himself wondering whether there were any golf courses in Heaven. He even began to ask the question in his prayers. One day, in answer to his prayers, he received a direct answer from on high. "Yes," said the Heavenly messenger, "There are many excellent golf courses in Heaven. The greens are always in first class condition, the weather is always perfect and you always get to play with the very nicest people." "Oh, thank you," said the cleric, "That really is marvelous news." "Yes, isn't it?" replied the messenger, "And we have you scheduled for a foursome next Saturday." ____________________________________________ No sermon and not suitable for church, just jokes and fun for grownups.
