GB PPP new active substance: decision on approval

Applications for the first approval of new active substances in GB are regulated under retained Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.

Applicant: Bayer AG

Substance: Isoflucypram fungicidal active substance for the control of stem-base, foliar and ear diseases in wheat (including Durum wheat and spelt), triticale, rye, barley and oats.

HSEs Conclusion on isoflucypram was published in July 2023 and concluded that the active substance is expected to meet the approval criteria. View the published conclusion (.pdf).

HSE referred its Conclusion and intended decision to GB Governments, as required under the Agency Agreements between HSE and the individual administrations.

Decision: Isoflucypram is approved as a candidate for substitution in GB, for use in plant protection products. View the published decision (.pdf).

Isoflucypram is now listed in theGB Pesticides Approvals Register.

Plant protection products containing isoflucypram can be authorised in GB, in accordance with the requirements of retained Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
