Plus: Storybooks, Stephen Sondheim and a Sporty competition
| ‘Where does work start and end? Where does life start and end?’ | This week I’m counting myself lucky to have a job that I can do from home and a family who are all healthy and safe. Writing a newsletter is nothing compared to the herculean task of broadcasting live breakfast radio from Fran Kelly’s lounge room. (But we pulled that off this week too.) I could still relate to the experience of Eryn and Cameron, who are trying to preserve family harmony as their daily routines are thrown out the window. When This Working Life asked an organisational expert for advice, she didn’t have any easy answers, but urged us to think about how we’ll support each other, especially if this drags on for months. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a diversion, here’s an opportunity to dream up a new sport — something everyone can enjoy when it’s finally time to come out to play again. Or if your interests are closer to Broadway than farnarkling, make sure you listen to The Stage Show’s series about composer Stephen Sondheim, who has just turned 90. Until next time, Rosie Ryan, Digital Editor Enjoy getting Radio National in your inbox? Forward to a friend so they can too! | |
