In Times of Uncertainty, More Communication is Better Dear John, During the past week there has been a great deal of information in the news about the 2019 Coronavirus - COVID-19. While some of my clients continue to have meetings and continue business as usual, many have moved to a "work from home" culture. The transition to a remote workforce can be a challenging one, especially if you are making it under pressure. The most important aspect of managing a remote team is communication. During the past fifteen years, I've worked remotely with hundreds of clients and partners in dozens of countries. It is now easier than ever to connect with people and grow relationships across the miles. It is in that spirit that I've increased the frequency of my communication with you. I want to offer you real solutions to the issues of the day. Today I launched The Tuesday Executive Briefing. This is a brief weekly video for people who run professional service firms and manage businesses. This week I discuss how you can communicate with clients whose businesses are under duress. The solutions I share are based upon my experience managing a $50 million business in New York City in the weeks and months following the events of September 11, 2001.
