The Sunday Round-Up | August 21, 2022 Happy Sunday! Though, if you're flying American Airlines (AA) or Southwest Airlines (SWA) today, chances are you're not too happy. AA, SWA and a few other U.S. airlines had a rough week in terms of delays and cancelations and things are even worse today.
As of 12:40pm PT, AA has canceled 270 flights and delayed 508. Southwest has canceled 70 flights and delayed 646. Keep in mind, it's still early so the delayed numbers will probably double. Here's the up-to-date status and a live look at the FAA's National Airspace System, which is not looking promising (see screenshot below).
