Meeting the Challenges of Remote Work
|
|
The wide adoption of remote work over the past year required campus leaders to rethink policies and best practices that have been modus operandi for many years. In a survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education, more than 50 percent of administrative leaders and human resource professionals said they were very or somewhat likely to give more flexibility to people who hold nonfaculty jobs in 2021 or 2022. The New Academic Workplace explores how campus leaders can build a foundation of trust between leaders and faculty members to equitably decide which positions can be held by remote employees, how technology can help bridge the gap between remote and in-office workers, and what greater impact it has on productivity and campus life.
