Make Cute Brownies on a Stick--Even Better! |
We're making these simple brownie pops again. We'll make and serve them in our store through Monday. The concept is simple. Freeze brownies on a stick and dip them in melted frosting. We have a new high gloss spreadable icing that is perfect for dipping. Jen in our test kitchen made 300 of them yesterday. She put the frosting in a pint Mason jar and would warm it occasionally in the microwave. It was the right size and shape for dipping. She propped the sticks through the square grid of a cooling rack to dry. With the frosting the right temperature, they didn't drip much. When I left she was dipping round brownies, cut out with a biscuit cutter, to decorate as Jack-O-Lanterns. Cutting round circles meant lots of trimmings (in addition to the edges that she cuts off.) She took some home to put in her kids' lunches. Kids think the snacking pieces are perfect. We'll freeze the rest and I'll get on the internet and find some uses for leftover brownie pieces. Merri Ann loves to make homemade ice cream. I think brownie chunks in her ice cream sounds delightful. Raylynn in our office wants some to add to milk shakes. Oh, and the raspberry image in the center, that's a blondie that we cut up and dipped. Fun project! Save 50% on Uncle Bob's Brownies. Save 17% on the glossy, spreadable icing.Save 10% the craft sticks. See how to make these cute square brownie pops. Have a great weekend! |
