Report: Companies improve employee leave management policies
Guardian's biennial absence management activity study showed companies have improved their employee leave management policies, partly to comply with changing regulations, and among those that have made reducing absenteeism a priority, 60% reported positive results. The study found 70% of employees who completed a return-to-work program felt their company cared about them.

Survey links weight stigma in men to depression, binge eating
A survey of more than 1,750 US men linked weight-related stigma to higher rates of dieting and depressive symptoms, researchers reported in Obesity. Weight-related stigma in men also was associated with binge eating and, among those who internalized it, lower self-rated health.
