🛻 Ram Becomes Latest Car Brand To Offer New Deal |
Car prices have been especially heinous in recent history. |
The COVID-19 pandemic wrecked the supply chain and created a bizarre circumstance where some vehicle owners sold their used cars for more than they paid initially. |
Due to scarce inventory, dealerships were able to maximize profit per vehicle. The market pivoted to higher-end models with fancy trim levels. |
When the market turned again, some vehicle brands mismanaged their inventory. Stellantis (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram) was among them. |
Uncertainty with tariffs, especially with foreign car parts, has started impacting car prices again. That has created opportunities for deals – like Ford offering employee discounts on many models. |
RAM CEO Tim Kuniskis recently put out his own deal on new Ram trucks: a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty on 2026 vehicles. |
The standard warranty is five years, 60,000 miles – and that’s what Ram offered previously. (Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Toyota all offer five-year warranties on gas-engine trucks.) |
Kuniskis explained that “85% of truck buyers finance for seven years or more … they keep it for 12 years because everything’s gotten more expensive.” |
Ram sales have declined 38% since 2019. Keep looking for deals on vehicles as there’s a sizeable gap right now between the best- and worst-performing car brands. |
