Affordable housing push: Who are the major financial backers of a November ballot initiative that would direct public money to fund affordable housing in New Orleans? Anthony McAuley has the story.

Electrician speaks: One of the two electricians identified in the recent federal indictment of a New Orleans' contractor is speaking out about what prosecutors called an illegal scheme. He says he's not sure what was wrong about the arrangement. Ben Myers has this report. 

Turtles return: For the third straight year, state and federal researchers have spotted nests by endangered sea turtles — including both loggerhead and Kemp's ridley turtles — on islands along the eastern coast of Louisiana. Mark Schleifstein has the details.
