| | | | Maryland colleges' new student-centered plan Hey Baltimore. Today, we've got some recent news that'll undoubtedly affect not just our city, but the whole state. The University System of Maryland (USM) today released its new 10-year strategic plan. There's been a shift in the paradigm, USM said: Instead of focusing on its systems and processes, the state higher education system now will emphasize "the needs of students and learning outcomes while [the plan] drives economic growth and serves our state and nation." The plan additionally groups its priorities and strategies within five core categories: Academic Excellence and Innovation Access Affordability and Achievement Workforce and Economic Development Research Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Imagine you're in the driver's seat: If you could guide the state's public institutions for the next decade, where would you lead them?
