The Saints went on the road against a top-flight opponent with a game plan they'd spent a grueling week putting together. They liked the plan, and if not for a play here and there, that plan probably would've worked despite New Orleans being severely short-handed. But probably counts for nothing in the NFL. The Saints are 5-4 after nine weeks, losers of two straight, are determined not to let Sunday's disappointment linger to the point where it snowballs into something worse.
