Learn practical steps your church can take to be a voice for life… No Images? Click here Dear friend, Your church may be one of the most powerful forces in the fight for life. We often think of pro-life work as battles to be fought in courtrooms and Congress, but the most important work goes on every single day in our local communities. All across the country, churches are equipping their congregations to make a real difference in the fight for life by volunteering in crisis pregnancy centers, supporting single mothers, and helping foster parents. But getting started with pro-life ministry can be challenging, and many churches don’t know where to start. That’s why we’re hosting Evangelicals for Life on January 17 and 18th. You’ll hear from pro-life advocates like Kristen Waggoner and Herbie Newell who will give you practical tips to make a difference for life in your community. Jeff Dodge, who pastors Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa, has attended Evangelicals for Life twice before. His church has started a successful pro-life ministry and he recently shared his story with us: “Being pro-life means both defending the pre-born as well as vigorously caring for children and parents. God has given us the opportunity to support a local pro-life clinic with finances and loads of volunteers. They do remarkable work! We also work hand-in-hand with our local foster care agency. Our church facilitates the foster care training and licensing and supplies the majority of the homes the children are welcomed into. We also have housing for families with urgent housing needs as well as a rehab home for those being rescued out of sex trafficking. God’s people respond when our eyes are open to the needs of our neighbors. We are grateful for every opportunity He gives us.” Come to DC on January 17th and 18th and learn practical ways to minister to your community and make a difference right where you are. Tickets are just $40 until October 31st, and you can save an additional 20% by using the code BEAVOICEFORLIFE20. Our culture desperately needs advocates for life and human dignity. I hope you’ll join me in this important fight. Sincerely, Dan Darling of the Southern Baptist Convention 901 Commerce Street, Suite 550 Nashville, TN 37203 Like Tweet Forward Preferences | Unsubscribe |
