After living in - and renovating - numerous homes, Luka and Jesse McCabe were ready to stay put. Their current property, near Dudly Beach, presented a chance to live on a big block in a quiet location. "Jesse’s always wanted to have a garden and we’ve never really had that before...” But first, a big renovation was afoot. The existing dilapidated “concrete bunker on stilts” was in a sorry state, with a ‘dungeon’ of a laundry downstairs and a deck that wasn’t safe to stand on at the open-for-inspection.
