Harry Houdini succumbed to appendicitis nearly 100 years ago. However, his magic wields more power over the American population then it did 100 years ago. This is ever more evident then what collectors are willing to pay for a piece of Houdini memorabilia. Even over the past five years, Ive seen Houdini related memorabilia skyrocket. There’s not nearly enough to meet the demand. So when a Houdini collection surfaces on the market, collectors go into a Frenzy. . The photo you see above was estimated to sell at a sale yesterday for $10,000. The one of a kind photo is purported to be the earliest Houdini photo known , circa 1892. It sold for $82,000! . Our customers have been asking when we will acquire Houdini material. However, it has been exceedingly difficult over the past few years. .
