Robert W. Markette, Jr., CHC Attorney Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C. | | Home Health NOW | Implementing Your COVID Vaccine Program in Home Health The FDA has issued Emergency Use Authorizations for the first COVID-19 vaccines. These vaccines were developed, tested, approved, and mass produced in record time. A significant percentage of the population has expressed reservations about taking the vaccine. This session will look at the statistics on vaccine skepticism to assess likely employee pushback on a vaccine program. We will also review the employer’s obligations to maintain a safe workplace and the employees’ rights to refuse the vaccine. From there, we will consider what an employer vaccination policy ought to look like and how it should be operationalized. |
