Mayor's Message
It is wonderful to see work advancing on the $1.7 million Dalvik Park sports amenities Building in Merriwa, part of the City’s Capital Works Program. The new complex will deliver changerooms, storage facilities, a kiosk, first aid room and gated outdoor area for members of our community now and into the future.
This exciting project is supported by $400,000 from the State Government’s Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, with construction expected to conclude in May 2022.

Happy Birthday Play School now showing at Wanneroo Gallery
Come inside, it's Play School! See Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty, Jemima and all your favourite Play School characters up close at the 'Happy Birthday Play School' exhibition NOW OPEN at the Wanneroo Gallery. This free exhibition will run Wednesday to Saturday 10am-4pm until 14 August.
Winter planting community events
Our annual winter community planting events have begun, and local residents are invited to come along and help rejuvenate bushland, foreshores and dunes across the City. All ages welcome. Free, participants must register beforehand.

Free community concert with Adam Hall and the Velvet Players
Get down to Phil Renkin Recreation Centre in Two Rocks on Saturday 26 June to see Adam Hall and the Velvet Players – a foot-stomping little big band, who worship soul icons like Ray Charles.
What's good in your hood?
The largest social research project in Australian history is underway with the 2021 Australian Liveability Census. City of Wanneroo encourages everyone to take the 15 minutes to complete this survey before it closes on June 30, and include our community’s perspective in a national forum.
City funding closes soon
If you have an event or initiative that recognises or celebrates the City’s rich history and diverse culture, you may be eligible for the City’s Flagship Fund, which is open until 30 June. Eligible community groups can access up to $10,000 per year over a three-year period.
Have your say on the Girrawheen Hub precinct
The Girrawheen Hub precinct is being reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of user groups and stakeholders. We see great potential in the library, senior citizens centre and hub - and want your feedback to help create a shared vision for the future. Have your say before the survey closes on 30 June.

Developed in partnership with Nature Play WA, the Nature Passport activity booklet is your one-stop shop for nature playgrounds, green open spaces, wetlands and other nature-rich locations in the City of Wanneroo.
