Mayor's Message

Welcome to the final edition of Wanneroo Link for 2021.

Firstly, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to this year’s Mayor’s Christmas Appeal. Your generosity will help make the festive season brighter for our community’s most vulnerable. The City has now finished collecting Appeal donations and I have been overwhelmed by the array of food, toys and gifts we have received. The goods have been collected by the organisations who will distribute the donations directly to local families in time for Christmas. Once again, our community has embodied the giving spirit of the season by showing incredible kindness and generosity.

The Wanneroo Christmas Day Lunch is back for 2021! Residents who are alone, are in need or who have recently moved to WA with their family and are separated from their loved ones can come along to this special event to enjoy a two-course meal and celebrate the meaning of Christmas. You can find out more or register to attend here.

As a new year approaches and I reflect on 2021, I am enormously grateful for the many ways we were able to come together as a community. I look forward to continuing to build, grow and connect our City in 2022 to support our community and ensure it continues to thrive.

On behalf of Council Members and City staff, I would like to wish you all a safe and happy festive season and a healthy and fulfilling year ahead.

Mayor Tracey Roberts JP
